About this tour
Phang Nga Bay is a landscape of hundreds of limestone islands rising straight out of calm green water. This speedboat day trip covers the best of it in one day, from paddling into a hidden lagoon to standing under the rock that made James Bond Island famous.
Panak Island
The first sightseeing stop is Panak Island, a huge limestone island with sheer cliffs and caves along its sides.
Sea Canoe at Hong Island
At Hong Island (or Talu Island, depending on the tide) you switch to a sea canoe. A local paddler takes you through a low cave into a lagoon hidden inside the island, surrounded by cliffs and mangroves.
Koh Panyee Floating Village
Koh Panyee is a Muslim fishing village built on stilts over the water at the foot of a giant rock. Lunch is a Thai buffet (halal) here, and you have time to walk the lanes and see the famous floating football pitch.
James Bond Island and Khao Ping Kan
Ko Tapu, the needle-shaped rock from "The Man with the Golden Gun", stands just off Khao Ping Kan. You have free time to walk the beach and take photos of the most famous view in Phang Nga Bay.
Ice Cream Cave
A short stop to see the stalactites and stalagmites inside Ice Cream Cave.
Naka Island
The day ends with swimming and relaxing on the white sand beach of Naka Island before the speedboat returns to Phuket. Sea sports at Naka Island are not included.
